Covid 19 may seem a thing of the past now restrictions have lifted, but unfortunately, things are far from safe. Rest assured that I am legally required to be tested regularly before each and every lesson to make sure that I am safe for my pupils. Although it is not a requirement for my pupils to be tested prior to attending my lessons, if you can I would appreciate this through a lateral flow test and I understand this might not always be possible. These can be picked up free of charge at most pharmacies online through the NHS website. If you find it hard to take a test, then please do not feel that you can not attend my lessons. All I ask is that if you have a continuous cough, lack of taste or any of the other symptoms that are related to covid then to either stay away or take the test as a precaution. I just want to make sure everyone is as safe as we can be. When I teach I tend to be quite close to my pupils with regards to distance, and as a result if you prefer me to wear a mask then I will do so, but rest assured as explained above I am tested prior to each and every lesson which is a legal requirement and if I do test positive then you will be informed via a text message or a phone call in plenty of time prior to the start of your lesson. In the mean time let us all stay as safe as possible.
If you book 10 lessons in advance with me I will provide you with a free lesson. I will also provide a free lesson for every person you recommend where they book a paid lesson with me. This is a great way of getting your tuition for free. All you need to do is to get your friend to quote your name, and I'll do the rest this end.
All children are precious and each child learns at a different learning level. My teaching methods are different depending on the ability of your child. They are tailored specifically for your child. All music teachers teach music to a high level, but most are quite intense with their teaching methods. I am different and will always encourage your child to ask questions. Most teachers don't like disruption during tuition, but I feel this only adds confusion to the lesson being taught. I always encourage children to ask questions no matter how many times during a lesson it stops me in my tracks. I find that this helps the child to learn at a quicker and more sustainable level allowing them to retain the information that I teach.
At the end of each lesson I encourage the parents to ask me questions with regards to the lesson that I have given. I have no problems with the parents / or legal guardians to sit in with the lesson as I feel this helps with the retention of information given.
Prior to your first lesson you will need to create an account for free.
I will provide your first lesson for free. This will be 30 minutes long. This is so I can gauge your skills and learning ability so I can create your unique learning pathway. No pupils are the same and this allows me to personalise individual attention tailored to your own experience.
All you need to do is book as normal through the bookings page and I will just mark this as paid. The easiest way to pay for your lesson and the preferred way is through PayPal, but if you prefer you can pay on the day. During COVID-19 restrictions I only operate contactless payment via PayPal to limit the use of cross contamination associated with cash.
If you are receiving one of the following benefits then I will do 4 lessons for the price of 3 when booking 3 slots in one go.
1. Employment Support Allowance
2. Universal credit
3. Job seekers allowance
4. DLA (Disability Living Allowance)
5. PIP (Personal Independence Payment)
6. War pension / Pension credit
You would need to show evidence of the benefits listed to be eligible which needs to be within the last 3 months. This is reviewed every 3 months. It is your responsibility to make sure that you have a current letter within that date. If you have been awarded more than 3 months giving a detailed period then a review will be extended to show this.
